Growth and development are the most desirable wheels of the economic chariot of any nation. But these terms have different definitions for experts from different fields. Also, sustainable growth is a challenge, even for developed economics. In this backdrop, the school organized a talk on the topic “Growth, Development & Sustainment; Challenges in India””. Prof. Satya N. Mishra, Dean, KIIT School of Management joined the session as the expert speaker and delivered a wonderful and thought provoking talk to the students of KSFH. Prof. Mishra started his speech from the theories propagated by the Father of Economics Adam Smith and tried to relate that to the today’s scenario and explained various challenges Indian economy is going through since independence on the developmental front and what are our achievements over the past seven decades. With his brilliant art of holding the nerve of the audience, Prof. Mishra made the students stick to their seats untill the end of the seminar.
The School has always been in the forefront in organizing seminars and workshop for its students on concurrent issues. After the reopen of the University after pandemic, this was for the first time a seminar was conducted in the physical mode for the students. The cheerfulness of attending such a program in physical mode after so long was visible on the faces of students as well as faculty members of the School.
On this occasion, students of the school who had performed outstandingly in the recently concluded 1st Odisha Inter-University Games at Baripada were felicitated.
