Dr. Saswat Kishore Mishra, Associate Professor & Associate Dean, KIIT School of Economics & Commerce (KSEC), has been nominated as the Vice President of the Odisha Economic Association (OEA) for the FY 2026-27, marking a significant recognition of his contributions to the field of economics, policy research, and academic leadership. In addition to this role, he continues to serve as an Elected Member of the Executive Council of OEA for a three-year term, FY 2025-26 to 2028-29, reflecting the trust reposed in him by the academic and policy community.

Formed in 1968, the Odisha Economic Association is one of the oldest regional academic associations in the country. It is a premier professional body that brings together economists, researchers, policymakers, and academicians to deliberate on issues central to the state’s economic development. Also a Lead at the Centre for Social Research and Innovation (SRI) at the KIIT School of Leadership, Dr. Mishra’s elevation to the position of Vice President is expected to further strengthen the Association’s engagement with contemporary development challenges, particularly in regional development, industrialization, and inclusive growth.
